A BILL to amend article six, chapter sixty-four of the code
of West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred
thirty-one, as amended, by adding thereto a new
section, designated section four, relating to
authorizing the division of corrections to promulgate
a legislative rule relating to the monitoring of
inmate mail.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That article six, chapter sixty-four of the code of
West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as
amended, be amended by adding thereto a new section,
designated section four, to read as follows:
ARTICLE 6. AUTHORIZATION FOR DEPARTMENT OF MILITARY AFFAIRS AND PUBLIC SAFETY TO PROMULGATE LEGISLATIVE
RULES.
§64-6-4. Division of corrections.
The legislative rule filed in the state register on
the fifth day of August, one thousand nine hundred
ninety-nine, under the authority of section eighteen,
article one, chapter twenty-five, of this code, modified by
the division of corrections to meet the objections of the
legislative rule-making review committee and refiled in the
state register on the twenty-first day of October, one
thousand nine hundred ninety-nine, relating to the division
of corrections (monitoring of inmate mail, 90 CSR 7), is
authorized.
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to authorize the
Division of Corrections to promulgate a legislative rule
relating to the Monitoring Of Inmate Mail.
